2016
April was National Volunteer month. Last year over 80 towns were involved in award ceremonies.
The Farmingdale Chapter of the Spirit of America recently awarded the S.O.A. Foundation Tribute to two of our Hall Dale High teacher for outstanding community service. Each received a framed certificate, a gift card to the Hi Hat Restaurant and a copy of the Towns 150th history book with the support of the Farmingdale Historical Society members. The recipients are Kendra Guiou, a math teacher that also works to create and design the year book each year and Jeremy porter who works with Jobs for Maine Graduates and Special Olympics. Both received many nominations and words of praise, from students as well as other teachers. They go above and beyond helping out students to receive the best education they can. Thanks to our Selectmen, Rosemarie Webster our clerk at the town office, Cassie and Asia Dibenedetti, Savanna Rodrigue and members of the Farmingdale Historical Society, the April 20th event was held after the Selectmen meeting at the Town Office on Maine Ave. Light refreshments were served.
