RSU 2 Budget Committee, February 26 at 5:30 p.m.

We invite you to meet with our Budget Committee, Kelleen Longfellow, RSU 2 Finance Director, and me, Thursday, February 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the RSU 2 Central Office to discuss the FY27 school budget.  During this meeting, we will review in detail information shared in this email and answer any questions you may have.

 

At this point in the budget process, we have met with all school directors and principals to determine budget needs, compiled projected enrollments at each of our schools, reviewed school programming, and continue to research ways to optimize efficiency.  

 

For the past two weeks we have been closely reviewing the ED 279 (attached), which provides a preliminary overview of what our school district may receive for funding for FY27 from the State.

Once again, this year our Board of Directors is working diligently to develop a school budget that effectively meets the needs of our students while recognizing the financial challenges of our citizens throughout our school district.
